Origins
The Bribri are one of Costa Rica's largest indigenous groups, primarily living in the Talamanca region, in the southeastern part of the country. They have a long history in the area, predating European colonization.

The Bribri culture revolves around agriculture, particularly the cultivation of cacao and bananas, and traditional practices such as herbal medicine.
