Activity

Mentioned regular excursions with local guides on a shared basis (shared with other travelers). Day 1: Arrival Ushuaia Upon arrival transfer to the accommodation. Rest of the day at leisure. Day 2: National Park, trekking & canoes This tour visits its most relevant attractions. On foot, and in contact with nature, along the undulating 8-km-long Coastal Path, this medium-difficulty hike should not pose a big challenge to those passengers used to exercise, and with the appropriate attire. Near the border of Lapataia River, lunch will be served with a great panoramic view from inside a heated dome-tent, to avoid wind or rain. Afterwards, all participants will be equipped with rubber boots, coverpants and lifejackets: the excursion will continue from Lake Acigami aboard inflatable canoes (duckies) for about an hour through the freshwater of the Lapataia and Ovando rivers until reaching the sea in Lapataia Bay. Day 3: Emerald Lagoon Trekking This hike is one of the most accessible that can be done in the southernmost city in the world. The main aim is to reach the Emerald Lagoon. We must cross the Lasifashaj Valley along a very clear and marked path, until we reach the amazing Laguna Esmeralda, a small lake of glacial origin, which owes this name due to its color produced by sediments that come from the Ojo del Albino Glacier. This color can only be seen in summer, while in winter it will be frozen and covered with snow. While we enjoy the view of the Lagoon we will load our energies eating box lunch. After that we will be able to undertake the return. Day 4: Navigation Wolves, Birds and Lighthouse Les Eclaireurs We will enjoy a relaxing catamaran sailing through the historic and challenging Beagle Channel, the cradle of countless historic shipwrecks in these icy waters south of the Strait of Magellan. One of the objectives will be to obtain the typical postcard with the lighthouse behind us. Day 5: Urban Landscapes biking A beautiful experience that combines natural and urban postcards in an interesting mixture, where you will be able to know the emblematic areas of the city, panoramic view points and watch birds of the natural reserve Bahia Encerrada. Day 6: Departure Ushuaia After breakfast, transfer to the Airport to board your flight.
